The first signs of Spring in France

Les prémices du printemps” (the first signs of Spring). This is the perfect title for our new blog post. After the long Winter months it looks like springtime is on its way in France! No soft green leaves on the trees yet but daisies, snowdrops, purple crocuses, violets, primroses were flowers we spotted during our beautiful walk this morning in the Park of Maisons-Laffitte, west of Paris. Here is a photo preview of how spring looks in our part of the world…

The Park of Maisons-Laffitte includes more than half of the town’s territory. Since the 19th century, the former grounds of the chateau have been filled with well spaced residential areas lined with open spaces and trees. This morning we had the chance to enjoy a peaceful stroll with our almost 2 year old daughter while listening to the birds and the sound of horse hooves trotting by. We do love it here!
