This week we have published a series of articles about the French city of Toulouse. Located in the south-west of France in the Midi-Pyrénées region, Toulouse is France’s fourth biggest city by population, after Paris, Marseille and Lyon. The town has been affectionally nicknamed by the locals as the “Pink City”.
With the help of Thibault and Chloé, we went through an extensive research activity about the history, monuments and culture of the city which took us a couple of month. You will find some useful information about the Capitouls and the Capitole, the famous sausages and cassoulet of Toulouse, without forgetting its wonderful sanctuaries such as the St Sernin Basilica.
Toulouse has often been ranked as one of the French’s most favourite provincial towns for the quality of living and its excellent transportation network. Set between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea and between Bordeaux and Montpellier, Toulouse is at a major crossroad. No doubt about it: the Pink City is easily accessible from anywhere in France and awaits your visit!
