  • Mon Grand-Est, a new blog for French-speakers

Last Updated: 20 August 2016

We are now finishing up the Summer holidays here in France and getting ready for school to start (and work to resume). I have been busy with a few projects and now want to share an exciting announcement with you… it’s about a new blog in French called Mon Grand-Est.

Mon Grand-Est, a new blog in French

Last month I started a fresh new blog: Mon Grand-Est. This new project is dedicated to the regions of France’s north-east: Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne-Ardenne, as well as Franche-Comté and Burgundy. For some time I had been looking to write in French… so this was the perfect opportunity.

As the French people say, I know this part of France ‘comme ma poche‘ (literally ‘like my pocket’ – know my way around there like nowhere else). I was born in Nancy, Lorraine, lived in Metz and in the South of Alsace… and even resided across the border, in Germany, for eight great years.

In 2012, I had the immense pleasure to run a French intensive course in the heart of the Alsace Wine Route. After the morning French classes, I would guide the adult participants through Alsace’s most beautiful sites: Riquewihr, Strasbourg, Colmar…

If you are a French speaker or are learning French, the Mon Grand-Est blog may be of interest to you. With a similar theme to French Moments, I take great care in illustrating the blog’s posts mostly with my own photos.

I have set a new challenge for this blog: to write 100 discovery articles about places of interest to see in the great region by next July. So far mo

Thanks for following along with me in Paris and France, and I hope to have posts up about the discovery of France’s North-East in the coming months. Also I look forward to hearing your thoughts about the new blog. I wanted to try writing in France for some time, and I’m always listening to your feedback 🙂

Merci beaucoup et à bientôt !

PS: here are a few photos that illustrate the region…
